Jamie's first walk in the snow, and we were there! Walking with her through her neighbourhood, we were deeply inspired by a glimpse of mutually supportive community, and of how it can be discovered, nurtured, developed. I was reminded of Josh as a preschooler, looking with longing at the houses he was walking by, wondering if perhaps there might be someone in there to play with. Loneliness and isolation are very hard. I'm wondering how we might be able to walk through our own neighbourhood as they are doing through theirs.

We were delighted to spend time with our little Jamie Ruth. I LOVED her new habit of opening her arms wide and running to me for a HUG! She did this over and over again at church on Sunday, and I felt like one very loved Grandma! Thank you, dear sweet Jamie Roo!

Hugs were even shared with Kazan, a very special first birthday present for him! Happy Birthday, Kazan Woofdog! More for you in my next post.

Buddies.

A weekend of much joy. Thank you, Josh and Heather, for the constancy of your warmth, hospitality, wisdom, love and grace!
