orts

A delicious assortment of memory-snippets from the past couple of weeks, beginning with this sampling of one of our lake's recent morning moods. What a way to start the day.

From the sublime to the ridiculous. "So the big pumpkin pug says to the little pumpkin pug..." :) Totally too cute for words. A (CITB) Box full of Heidi's and Beatrice's for C & S's pugs.play party. Even Mom (Great Nanie) was there with her "pet" pug.

Moving right along on the adorable scale, here are two of our three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle grandkids. Hyped-up even more than usual - which is saying something. I couldn't be there (recovering from a bad cold) but Grandpa was able to take part in all the fun, handing out goodies while Meghan and Aaron brought Micah and Elizabeth out trick-or-treating.

Speaking of fun - Ron and Aaron always try to outdo each other in remaining nonchalant about the water temperature and the weight of the dock as they prepare our waterfront for winter each year. And tradition now seems to call for a final celebratory plunge under the water. Even this year. In November. Thank you, Aaron, that we can always count on you when we need help!

Finally, while the big guys were enjoying their fun time in the water, Meghan and I were hard at work supervising the kids. A dog and a big cardboard box - what more could a couple of active kids ask for?
