faithful. always.

Seems like sometimes you CAN go home again, after all. SemperFi (always loyal) Leonbergers, aka Andrea and Rod, aka Gramma and the Dog Whisperer.   Beowulf had an emotional reunion with his beloved birth family near Peterborough, on our way home from Kitchener. I think we were all a little choked-up.

Gramma was very impressed with her beautiful big boy!

Whispered welcome home.

Beowulf really seems to have remembered.
He was SO happy!

This is beautiful Shelby.  She is the soon-to-be-retired "goodwill ambassador" of SemperFi. And she is exactly that - total good will and gentleness itself, whether she is welcoming visitors or patiently accepting the energetic advances of a litter of rough-and-tumble puppies.  It was an honour to have met this incredible role model in Beowulf's early life.

I LOVE this picture! Currently being groomed to take over Shelby's role is the sweet and gorgeous Roly Poly, Kazan's half-brother (they have the same mother). Here are Beowulf and Roly reliving some memories together as they look down from the stairs into the kitchen. (Thanks, Andrea, for helping me figure out who's who in this picture, and for filling in some fun details of Beowulf's history!)

Budding ambassador Roly inviting Kazan to play.

Looking on at the mother-and-child reunion is the lovely young female, Ali'i.  She is Kazan and Beowulf's half-sister (they all share the same father).  Ali'i is 9 1/2 weeks older than Beowulf.

After a meet-and-greet time indoors, everyone took off for an outdoor romp into the sunset.

Thank you, Andrea and Rod, for an incredible visit.
And especially we thank you for our beautiful Beowulf.

Hi Ron and Franceen
Yes, that was our Roly Poly boy on the stairs with Beowulf. He taught all of the babies to climb the stairs when they were with us. We were so happy to have you all come for a visit, you are doing a fantastic job of making Beo a happy, happy boy! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are really looking forward to spending some time with you again soon.
Take good care of yourselves
Gramma and the Whisperer
