Beowulf had his 8-week birthday yesterday! Kazan has learned so much these last few days about how to play more gently. Kazan is such a sweet-natured boy and means well, but until Beowulf came along, he didn't know how to tone down his bull-headed enthusiasm. Now all we have to work on is how to tone down Beowulf. Lately I've been thinking that an appropriate name for him would have been Taz, as he really is remarkably reminiscent of Bugs Bunny's Tasmanian Devil in his attacks on Kazan! We are amazed (and a bit taken aback) that a cute and cuddly 8-week-old baby has the potential for that level of playful ferocity!!!

Brothers!

our baby Beowulf

I left the door of Beowulf's crate open while he slept with his head hanging over the entranceway. As he adjusted his sleeping position from time to time, he gradually moved a bit further out and a bit further out, till he looked like this. So cute!

And finally, the piece de resistance - this photo was sent to me by Beowulf's breeders, Andrea and Rod, from SemperFi Leonbergers near Peterborough. Beowulf's first Christmas! He was 6 weeks old. What a sweetie-pie!

Jamie just saw the picture and said 'Awww, Kazan and baby Beowulf'. She remembered his name already, sure sign of a dog-lover. Oh dear.
You certainly did manage to find a caring and reputable breeder there, Franceen.
That picture would have made a lovely Christmas card.
